Bronwyn, as the bard once famously said, it's all a mystery. Turns out cancer is the most common form of death for all animals. But I am constantly shocked and saddened by the huge number of friends and people who have succombed far too young.

Unfortunately the many cancer sufferers who switch to macrobiotic or raw diets but die anyway are unavailable to tell the other side of the story.

Brett, thanks for the link to the movie. I wasn't aware of it. I'm not sure about subscribing to comments. I will ask the web designer.

Kristen, you are doing great things with the Food Renegade carnival.

A great story! Thank you so much for sharing it. I've known two people who've healed cancer using a macrobiotic diet, and I've also known a couple of people who've successfully healed cancer using completely raw food. I think the ideas behind it are fascinating, if not necessarily right for everyone.

Thanks for sharing this in today's Fight Back Fridays carnival.

Cheers,

Morning Ed! I just saw Meg in 'Healing Cancer From Inside Out'. The movie was a little stale but the message was a powerful one. I've read a number of books now that have pretty much convinced me to stick to eating real foods, more along the lines with how you eat it sounds. The movie though was finally able to convince my partner to start doing some of the same (he's not much of a reader). I'd definitely recommend the movie to someone who wants to start changing how they look at food but needs that extra visiual umph to do so!

On a side note -- is there a way to subscribe to comments on your blog?
