The Washington Chorus rocks
Some of you may remember our Kennedy Center adventure back in December when we were hit with a huge snowstorm here in the nation’s capitol. I had tickets for the Washington Chorus’ annual Chistmas sing-along and wasn’t about to miss it. Well, even though most of D.C. had come to a standstill, the show at the Kennedy Center went on, with the conductor sitting in for an MIA organist and the chorus in their Christmas finest.
Come to find out that one of the other parents at my daughter’s elementary school is a member of the chorus. She read our post on that magical evening and kindly filled in some of the fascinating back-story to what these warbling heroes endured that night. You can now read it as a post-script to the original post here. The story just gets better and better.

We are engaging the concerns of a hungry planet--slowly--right here in our kitchen garden in the District of Columbia, about a mile from the White House.
