I am reading this series on school food quietly to myself. This is not over here in my country, Portugal, so I thought I neednt't butt in.

I must say, however, that I am speechless at what children are fed in schools, particularly starting the day with massive doses of sugar or corn syrup.

I also need to add that this country tags along behind everybody else and does not seem to learn from other country's mistakes. So I daresay we will be lokking onto the same situation over here in 5 to 10 years time.

This is so stupid and frustrating. Parenting is a full time job. We need to make sure we understand what goes on with our kids when they are entrusted to anybody else and TAKE ACTION if we don't like what is going on.

When we leave our kids in the care of the Professionals, sliding downhill can easily happen. what a pity we came to this state of affairs and worse, that it is taking so long for everybody to wake up and do something about it.

Thanks Ed for hammering it into everybody's heads every single day. Somebody had to do it.
