“There’s Nothing to Eat in This House”

If you’ve ever parented a 13-year-old, you’ve probably heard this before: There’s nothing to eat. I wanted to see if this could actually be true. When I opened the fridge, this is what I found.
Likewise, when I went to the pantry, I found it crammed with dry and canned goods.
Apparently, in the eyes of a teenager, all this food blurs into nothingness.
Ah, the joys of parenthood.

Not to mention all the ripe fruit hanging off the trees in the orchard : )

Good point, Diane. Apparently fruit and vegetables don’t count in Leila’s world unless they’re grapes.

Kid means, there is nothing already cooked/ processed that I can quickly dump into my mouth without thought.
