The good news: We scored tickets to the White House egg roll
The bad news: At 7 am, thousands of people were waiting to get in
Daughter actually rolled an egg
And hunted for eggs
And dyed an egg
And hula hooped
It was a great time. Thanks, Michelle Obama! And thanks to D.C. Central Kitchen for hard-boiling all those eggs.
When I was busy making Easter lunch for 22, I thought of all those eggs being boiled up, and what a toil that was … lovely to see so many children enjoying a garden which normally looks so austere, change in the air that welcomes children has to be a good place to begin
