Me, weighing pasta in Berkeley central kitchen
Since stumbling into the school food story in the kitchen at my daughter’s elementary school, those posts and my most recent series on food preparation in the Berkeley, CA, school district has been appearing also at Grist, the online environmental magazine.
My editor there, Bonnie Powell, who some of you might recognize as the founder of the Ethicurean blog, has done a bang-up job smoothing out the bumps in my text and giving the series–starting in D.C., and running all the way to the other coast (so far)–an amazing home to live in there. Check out the cool design and intro. You may just want to stay and read the whole thing all over again.
Grist has some other fine features–for instance, ongoing coverage of that pesky oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. I get it delivered every day on my Google reader.
