Meetup with Pattie Baker

Pattie Baker and I are fellow travelers in the garden and food activism realm. We’ve been trading tips and encouragement seems like forever. You can find her at Foodshed Planet.
A native New Yorker, she moved to Atlanta but came through town this week with her kids. She dropped by yesterday morning to tour the garden and exchange gossip and take lots of pictures and video of our uban plot.
Good to finally see you in the flesh, Pattie. But I have to tell you, D.C. is hot enough. I’m not sure I want to see Atlanta in July or August.

Ed: Thanks for the visit! LOVED seeing you and your garden. We just got home (had to come back to Atlanta to cool off after 102 degrees in DC!) and my blooming amaranth made me think of yours so many miles away.
Am on my way outside to pick dinner. Wish I had some of those beans and eggplants of yours. I’m posting tomorrow about you and your garden–make sure you check it out! You’ll like the picture I got of you with the bean trellis.
