Daughter’s Sheep Mission

Sheep are curious, but wary
Before going to bed last night, daughter begged me to wake her up in the morning so she could help feed the sheep their daily bit of grain. Of course, when 6 a.m. arrived, daughter waived me away and rolled over in bed. “I just want to sleep.”
But here she is an hour later on a mission of her own: she bought a permanent marker and is determined to write names for the sheep on their ear tags.
If only daughter had been around to feed them their grain, the sheep might have been more eager to let her get close. As it is, they’re not quite sure what to make of her.
“They keep butting me with their heads.”

Here’s another problem: as you can see in the photo above, there’s not much room on those tags for writing anything. Those numbers are pretty big.
Is there an alternative? Daughter went on the internet and found heavy-duty sheep collars for sale. I suggest writing names directly on the collars.
We have eight sheep, two of which are old and already have names. I know one is Ginger. I’m not sure about the other.
That means we need six names for the six yearling ewes. The names daughter has chosen are December, Zoe, Shirley, Erica, Selena and Hannah. In other words, she is naming them all after her friends.
What would you name your sheep?
Perry says you should name them “One, Two, Three, Four, Five and Six”, but it might put you to sleep if you have to call them very often ; )
