Bumper Crop of Cukes

We got a late start gardening this year and wouldn’t have a garden at all if it weren’t for my brother-in-law Tom, who did all the sod busting and the planting. He made six vegetable beds, each 12 feet long and three and a half feet wide. The cucurbita have done especially well. Here you see the latest harvest of slicing cucumbers. They’re big and couldn’t be more perfectly formed. Just a couple of plants produces all we could ever need.

Looks like somebody’s going to be eating a lot of cucumber salad. How do you like your cukes?
