Pretty Soggy

Seems like hardly a day goes by lately without an afternoon thunderstorm. There are real dangers. Four people were killed this week outside Syracuse by an apparent tornado spawned by one of these storms.
Last year our perimeter fence charger was fried by a lightning strike. Now at the first sound of thunder we unplug the charger and disconnect it from the fence. Next we unplug the computer, the router, the phone and the DSL line. We also unplug the television and all the sensitive electronics in the living room.
If we’re lucky, we won’t lose power altogether.
Life in the country–there’s never a dull moment.
