A Keeper?

Gracie’s parents were both white, but she was born black. Since then, she’s turned more of a latte color and we’ve learned that one of her grandfathers was black.
She was the only one of our spring lambs to survive. I thought she might have a date with the butcher this fall. But she’s such a fine, sturdy looking lamb who’s done so well on pasture, I’m starting to think she could make an excellent breeder for our meat locker.
What do you think? Is Gracie a keeper?

You bet! She looks nice. I love having all different colors in my flock. It’s great to have all different kinds of fleece to spin, and lots of lamb in the freezer.
